Manali is not too far from other hill stations round. The distance between McLeod Ganj and Manali is 224 kilometers while the distance from Kullu is 40 kilometers approximately. Kasol is also in Himachal Pradesh and if you wish to be there, the city is only 75 kilometers from Manali. Delhi is at a distance of 537 kilometers. Hence, people from Delhi and the nearby cities ensure that they go on a weekend trip during summer and winter.

Being one of the most visited hill stations in India, the minimum budget can be on the higher side. Be ready to spend at least Rs 7000 for two nights in Manali excluding travel. If you like to choose a luxurious resort, you can increase the budget at least to Rs 10,000 for two nights stay. What is your budget? 8. Skiing in Manali

How to Reach Manali?

Bus services are not many but if you are travelling from Dehradun, Shimla, Chandigarh or Leh, you can easily find buses to Manali. Most people prefer travelling by a car to experience road trips at its best. The scenic beauty is to die for. You can find buses to Manali from Delhi and nearby places as well, however, the bus ride will be between 14 to 16 hours.

The nearest railway station is Ambala Cantt or Chandigarh. After reaching any of these stations, one can take a commercial taxi or a bus to Manali.

If you wish to travel by flight, you need to fly to Kulu Airport. The distance from Kulu to Manali is just over 50 kilometers which can be covered in one hour.

Best Time to Visit Manali

People usually like to visit Manali when it is too hot in other parts of India, i.e., Summers, however, Winters in Manali are equal fun, especially if you wish to witness snow or snowfall if you are lucky. The preferred time of the year is from October and all the way till June. There are people though who like to experience snowfall and the feeling it brings in. Those people like to visit during snowfall which happens from December to February.
