9 Best Places To Eat In Singapore To Satisfy Your Appetite

If you enjoy fantastic food, Singapore is the place to be. The blending of cultures has resulted in a vast range of great food from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, and western dishes. The options are limitless.

In Singapore, you don’t have to look far to find a mouthwatering meal. The city is filled with boundary-pushing eateries led by celebrity chefs, as well as simple hawker finds that will satisfy your hunger for cheap.

List Of Top 9 Best Restaurants In Singapore For Unrivalled Food, Electrifying Ambience, And Friendly Service

1. Jumbo Seafood @ Riverside

Location: 30 Merchant Rd

Must try: Sweet Chilli Crab

Singapore’s hallmark dish is Sweet Chilli Crab. Jumbo Seafood – Riverside Point, situated right on the water of Clarke Quay, is one of the best and most well-known places to try it. However, the quality of some of the other things on the huge menu is what makes this Chinese restaurant one of the best places to eat in Singapore in my opinion. The pork ribs with honey glaze, superb seafood fried rice, and venison with spring onions and ginger are some of the best thing which is a must-try.

2. SONG FA bak kut teh

Location: 11 New Bridge Road

Must try: Pork ribs soup

From humble beginnings, selling pork ribs and a spicy soup dish from a pushcart in 1969, to many locations across Singapore today. Must try: Hainanese Chicken Rice

Tian Tian Chicken is yet another well-known hawker stall.  This time, it’s in the Maxwell Food Centre in Chinatown. It makes my list of the top ten best places to eat in Singapore because the quality of this chicken rice dish is outstanding, and it is a must-try for everyone visiting the city. Don’t be tempted by other places in the same market that appear to be very similar. Regardless of the queue, you’ll want to visit this award-winning location.

6. Beng Thin Hoon Kee

Location: 65 Chulia St, #05-02 OCBC Centre

Must try: Scrambled eggs with chistorra sausage

If you’re looking for a hidden gem in Singapore, look no further. This elusive spot might be a bit challenging to locate since it has shifted from its previous Hokkien Street location. To access it, you’ll navigate through an indoor parking lot, take the lifts to the fifth floor, and then head right into another car park. The service is quite nice, and they even have robots carrying meals to tables and singing happy birthday.

7. Tong Ah Eating House

Location: 35 Keong Saik Rd

Must try: Traditional kaya toast + Kopi

Now it’s time for breakfast on the list of the top places to eat in Singapore. Kaya toast, to be precise. Soft boiled eggs, a toast sandwich filled with coconut custard (kaya), and a black coffee with condensed milk (kopi). Tong Ah Eating House, one of the best places to try this meal, has been offering it for decades at a very low price.

8. Toast Box

Location: 133 New Bridge Road (+ many other locations)

Must try: Kaya toast + iced milo

Toast Box is another great spot to eat in Singapore that specialises in kaya toast. With locations throughout the city, you should have no problem finding one of these modern establishments. The traditional Singaporean cuisine is excellent, plus they provide oat milk and chocolate milk. There may be a long queue, but it moves swiftly.

9. Newton Food Centre

Location: 500 Clemenceau Avenue North

Must try: Black pepper crab @ Alliance Seafood

The last of the nine best places to eat in Singapore is a full Hawker Centre. Crazy Rich Asians, a hit film, features the Newton Food Centre. There is a wide range of high-quality cuisine available. Then, from Thong Lai Cold Drinks & Beer, soothe your thirst with a sugar cane and lime drink. It’s important to note that you find a table first, then give the vendor your table number, and they’ll send your meal over.
